The matching serial number is also marked on the water table and on the forearm hardware. The serial number on the lower tang is gold inlaid as is the "SAFE" on the upper tang. The upper tang also has a cross hatching pattern. There are also silver inlaid flowers and gold inlaid accents on the receiver.
The underside front of the receiver is gold inlaid "PARKER BROS" with a gold inlaid wire border. The action also has a gold inlaid relief pheasant on the left side, a duck on the right side, and a gold inlaid relief turkey on the underside ahead of the trigger guard. The action, trigger guard, skeletonized break lever and forearm hardware are engraved with scroll and floral designs.
There are thin gold inlaid wire bands around the breech and muzzle ends. And a 1 1/4 inch simple gold inlaid line pattern on the muzzle end sides. The breech end of the barrels feature a 3 1/2 inch wedge of floral and scroll pattern engraving, with a gold inlaid game bird and accents on each side. 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked full/full with ejectors. There are dual bead sights on the concave matte solid rib which is marked "PARKER BROS. The barrels are blue, the action and trigger guard are French gray and the remaining metal parts are casehardened. This particular shotgun was also donated by the Pachmayr family to Ducks Unlimited. shotguns commissioned by Pachmayr Gun Works to be completely refurbished and custom embellished in the early 1970s. Manufactured in 1927, this is one of a limited number of Parker Bros.
